OPPORTUNITY

The Town of Newmarket needed a campaign to reflect its transformation into a vibrant, growing community that still values its small-town charm. The goal was to highlight economic development, community pride, and everyday life through a message that would resonate with both residents and external stakeholders.

SOLUTION

The “Live, Work, and Play” campaign was developed around the people of Newmarket, using real stories and photography to showcase life in the town. A bold visual system, paired with authentic messaging, created a clear and flexible framework for the campaign across print and digital platforms.

IMPACT

The campaign strengthened Newmarket’s identity and became a key communications tool for the town. It fostered a stronger connection with residents, brought visibility to local progress, and laid the groundwork for future marketing and community engagement initiatives.

Working closely with GCI Canada, we conducted strategic research and engaged with key stakeholders to help shape a marketing toolkit that felt true to Newmarket. The goal was to build on the town’s existing brand while bringing new energy to its economic development story, highlighting growth and opportunity while staying rooted in community values.

A community of contrast and connection.

The Live, Work, and Play campaign set out to show what makes Newmarket truly unique—a complete community where contrasts come together in meaningful ways. It’s a place where urban energy meets small-town charm, where nature trails are just minutes from local shops and national retailers, and where people can live, work, and unwind all in one town.

The campaign messaging reflected this balance, subtly connecting to Newmarket’s roots as a historic meeting place through the central concept of “meet.”
